Personally I wouldn’t miss it. I subscribed to Harry’s wonderful little journal for many years and it is one of the best things out there. Get this and the upcoming volumes!

Connoisseur Special by Dan Archer -- Right now, this is definitely a favorite around the shop. The 'demo guys' have gone nuts for it and it is selling like....well, whatever it is that you like that sells fast.
Here you go: 3 cards are shown, say 2 black Aces and a King. You tell the spectator that you are going to perform an observation test. The King is placed in between the 2 Aces and the packet is squared. You ask the spectator if the King is face up or face down. Naturally, the answer is "Face up." Nope, wrong. The King has magically turned face down! You repeat the 1st phase a couple of times in various ways until you admit that you have been cheating (perish the thought). You have been using 4 cards instead of 3. You remove one card and place it face down on the table. You now ask the spectators the color of the 2 Aces. They answer, "Black". Wrong! They are RED! However, there are still 2 cards that are face down. You give the spectator one final chance by asking them to choose which card is the King. No matter which one they select they will pick an Ace, because the King has totally vanished leaving you with only 4 Aces. The King is then reproduced from your wallet, pocket etc. This is extremely easy, and is a total blast to perform. Walk around guys and table hoppers take note! Highly, Highly Recommended!
Dice Thru The Mirror -- This IS a KILLER trick. Here is the effect: You display a black plastic folder. You next show a glass mirror and hand it out for examination. The mirror is attached permanently to a wide red ribbon. The mirror is placed inside the plasitic folder. Now....the folder has a small square hole on top just large enough to hold a regular size white gaming die. You can see the mirror through the hole. the die is placed on the mirror. A spectator is asked to hold the ribbon to PROVE that the mirror cannot be moved NOR CAN IT BE REMOVED from the plastic folder.
NOW.....As your audience watches, the die slowly and VISIBLY sinks straight down through the solid glass mirror and falls to the floor! Mirror can be removed and examined again if desired.
I have done this trick thousands of times and it is really terrific. The effect and working is smooth and clean and packs a magic whallop. Get this! For a video demo go to:

Dream Tear by Carl Cloutier -- Imagine a single sheet T&R newspaper. Imagine that when you finish you are left with a clean sheet of newspaper to hand out or use in a mentalism effect, etc. Think about it! Walk into a CEO’s office with his company’s brochure (WHICH CAN BE EXAMINED BEFORE AND AFTER THE TRICK!), tear it into many pieces, and then quickly restore it. It can even be changed into a different brochure (old product out...new product in idea)! This will take some work to get the effect smooth, but it really is not that tough to do. You get the gimmicks and a detailed video. Recommended.
In Over Your Head by Steve Bedwell -- I love Steve Bedwell. He is one of the goofiest magicians I know. He has decided to release one of his pet routines, and BOY, what a routine! This is a cut and restored rope that uses the premise of The Paper Balls Over the Head by Tony Slydini, another of my favorite performers. The routine is hilarious, and will be one that I promise you will use! Get this and try it. I GUARANTEE you will love it or your money back. Trying to describe it here will simply not do it justice. You need to work with the rope and try the routine on some lay folks. Now that it has been published do yourself a favor and buy Steve’s wonderful routine and get wildly 'In Over Your Head! ' Highly Recommended!
Jeff Hobson Live! DVD -- I love Jeff Hobson. He can make a person laugh at a funeral on a Sunday morning. What you get on this DVD is Jeff’s act as performed at the A-1 Convention at the Capitol 2000. If all you got on this DVD WAS the act it would be worth twice the price! It is one of the funniest and most entertaining acts in magic today. But...after the act, Jeff then goes on to teach a select portion of the tricks from the act. You won’t get it all, but you get some really killer stuff like his Signed Silk from the Apple, and the highlight of the tape The Jeff Hobson Watch Steal which alone is worth many times the price of the tape. $34.95 is just too cheap for this wonderful video! Highly, Highly Recommended!
Pick-Stick -- Don't pass this one up. Easy and fun the effect is quite mystifing. Here is what happens: You display a beautiful little brass rod. In the rod are drilled 3 little holes. You place a toothpick into the center hole. With a shake of the rod, the toothpick JUMPS instantly to one of the other two holes! Then it jumps back again. More jumps. You remove the toothpick and hand both the rod and toothpick out to be examined.
Here is the clincher!!! When they try and place the toothpick into one of the holes....they are sealed up. NO HOLES! Can't beat this for price and effect!
Pure Effect by Derren Brown -- I LOVE mentalism. The idea that it might be possible to read minds, tell the future or move objects by merely thinking the thought has appeal that few magic tricks can match. Here is a book of mentalism that is a force to be reckoned with. The material in this book is so strong that I wish I did not have to tell you about it. This is really knock ‘em dead stuff. Some of the book’s material is gutsy because a lot of it uses psychological subtleties rather than forces or billet switches, etc. This book is for the SERIOUS mentalist. That said, the book is worth the price many times over. 168 hardbound pages. Highly Recommended.

Sonic Silver -- A very cool coins to glass effect. A coffee cup sits on the table along side a boxed deck of cards and 3 half dollars. One at a time the coins vanish from your hand and appear in the cup. For the 3rd coin, the deck is placed over the mouth of the cup and the coin is vanished. Even though the cup is covered and you never touch it, the coin arrives in the cup with an audible "clink"! Very Cool, and Highly Recommended!!
Vanished & Gone by Duffie -- Dave fooled the STUFFING out of me THREE times with this puppy! This is going to be incredibly hot once the word gets out. You show a deck of cards. You tell the spectator that ONE and ONLY ONE card is "Gone". You now tell the spectator to think of any card. Without the spectator saying a word you give them the deck, and tell them to deal cards face up until they find their card. No matter what card they are thinking about you will prove that their card is "GONE"! This is one of those tricks that no matter what it is going to be good. BUT...if it goes one particular way it is simply SCARY. Wouldn't you know that that happened to me three times in a row! Highly Recommended
Wizard's Manual by Docc Hilford -- One of the coolest and NEWEST "Hands-off" Book Test effects to come out insome time. Docc has given us a true gem. Heck, He has given us a 24-karat DIAMOND!
Get this: A Spectator chooses a page out of a paperback best seller. She remembers the main idea of the top line on the page selected. Remember, after the selection of the page YOU NEVER TOUCH OR GO NEAR THE BOOK AT ALL! You then proceed to tell her what she is thinking. Amazing. You now ask her to open to her selected page to verify that you are correct. Problem. It seems that now about half of the page that she has been thinking about has been ripped completely out of the book. Now, attention is drawn to a sealed envelope that has been in full view the entire time, and was mailed to the party days, weeks, months, or even years before. A spectator opens the envelope and removes it’s contents. It is the EXACT PAGE! This is the quality of effect that you hope to get when you buy a new item. Outstanding!
