The Effect: Show two coins, a gold & silver. Place them in your closed hand. Remove one and place it in your pocket. Open your hand and both coins are still there! Repeating this several times, the coins continue to magically reappear! Finally your hand is opened and both coins have vanished!
This is the exact same effect as Hopping Half done with special coins minted to look like an ancient gold and silver coin. VERY cool!

Brad's Gold Shells -- From the olden days of carnivals, city back alleys, to magic shops, the three shell game has fooled them all. We humbly introduce the set of shells that grip perfect and perform with an expert feel. The shells are made in brass then twice gold plated. Each set comes with three shells, a rubber green pea and a collector’s carrying case.
Card Through The Glass -- This is WAY COOL! A signed card is placed on a piece of plexi-glass. A second spectator then places his own signed business card on top of the playing card. Now a second piece of glass is placed on top of all, and everything is "rubber-banded" closed. You tell the audience to keep their eyes on the playing card, and not to blink. You spectator's jaws will hit the floor as the watch the card VISIBLY, and without ANY cover of ANY kind, MELT THROUGH THE GLASS!! This is a very eerie effect, and will blow 'em away! Color Changing Knives -- A wonderful trick for the pocket. Used by many of the finest close-up performers world wide, this is an excellent starter set of knives. The effect is classic: You show a standard appearing pocket knife. In the most magical manner possible, the knife changes color and then changes color again. This DOES take sleight-of-hand and practice, but many, many magicians had this as their first trick.
The instructions are quite good, but hopefully soon I will have a comprehensive video out on the 'Paddle Move' with an emphasis upon the knives.
Cups and Balls Deluxe Chrome -- I have always loved The Cups and Balls, but it has always been tough to find a GOOD set that was affordable. These cups are not only affordable, but the are GREAT! They are light-weight, so doing alot of the flourishes are easy to do. They also have a "musical" ring to them. Each cup produces a different tone when struck. They almost sound like chimes. These are fantastic, and are now my cups of choice.

Deep Astonishment -- A spectator cuts the deck to a random face down card. The card is covered with your wallet to keep it safe. You then ask the spectator to dig deep into her mind for a personal magic word. She has a free choice of almost any word she can imagine! Let's say her word is "rose". You then use her magic word "rose" to help you find the "soul mate" of the card that's under the wallet. It's a very cool trick! But what's in the wallet?
You open the wallet. Your fingers reach into its inner pocket and removes a packet of spare cards that you placed there last night. Their backs are of a different color than the deck you've been using!
You slowly and cleanly deal these cards from the wallet on to the table. The first card has a large "R" hand drawn on its back! The next card an "O"! The next an "S"! The final card an "E"...spelling out her magic word, "ROSE"!
No one says anything for a very long time. Finally a single word escapes your spectator's lips, "HOW?!"
This is as good as it sounds!

Diminishing Returns -- Effect: You display the fronts and backs of a deck of cards to the audience. A spectator simply names any card they like, you remove the named card and set it aside face-up. You now spread the deck on the table and somehow the entire deck visibly shrinks to half of its original size! The selected card is the biggest one in the deck. Just when the audience catches their breath, the entire deck grows back to its normal size, and now the selected card has shrunk! To finish, the selected card visibly grows back to normal size!
Double Back -- Two cards, undeniably in your hands, instantly change places with those held by someone else! It just doesn't get any more direct.

The Pen and Cap routine alone is worth the price of the DVD. This is material that takes some practice, but you WILL be able to do it if you put in the time. One Tear At A Time - J.C. Wagner -- J.C.'s classic Torn and Restored card from his book Seven Secrets is one of the most performed and loved effects of its kind. Many of the ideas in this effect have been used in other versions, but the original is still one of the finest creations in card magic.
Well, using some of his original concepts, J.C. took the routine one step further and came up with one of the most DOABLE versions of the Tear Up A Card and put it together one piece at a time that you will find anywhere. The method is clean and considered by many to be the easiest method available. The video is unique in that the explanation was shot COMPLETE from the FRONT and the REAR! That's correct, there are two complete explanations of the routine mechanics guaranteeing you WILL be able to learn and perform it. Note also, that because of the method the ANGLES are much better than virtually any other routine out there. You will love this.
Queen's Debate DVD - J.C. Wagner -- Why NEW? Because it's now in DVD format!!! AND...I lowered the price to $24.95! This may well be the best card routine of it's type. Takes work, but it simply fries spectator's. And, keep constantly in mind that this routine needs NO Gimmicked Cards! That's important, because when you see it done you would swear that it DOES uses gaffs of some kind. Na-huh. This is totally impromptu. -Brad
This IS one of the effects that made J.C. Wagner famous. This is the revised and improved version of his now classic routine The Dyslexic Queens and boy does this one deliver on the promise of incredible card magic without the use of ANY gimmicked cards and without the use of super difficult sleights! If you can do an Elmsley Count, well, you should be able to learn and perform Queen's Debate without a hitch!
The effect is simple and straight forward: You place four piles of 3 cards each on the table in a diamond pattern. You then add one queen to each pile. Now, in the cleanest possible manner you VANISH the queen from each of three of the piles! This is nuclear magic: Visual and clean and magical. You now pick up the fourth pile and show that all four Queen's are in THAT pile! And, you do NOT use duplicate cards!!! You now proceed to vanish the Queens in the fourth pile one at a time and then instantly show all the Queens back in the four separate piles.
What makes this such a HOT routine is that you use a regular deck of cards. You do not use gimmicks of any kind and yet the routine looks so good you will think you are using them! Anyone who has worked thru the Brad Burt Basic Card Course will have no trouble with this routine.
Ricochet -- The 4 kings and the 4 aces are removed from a deck of cards. The kings are placed face down in a pile in front of a spectator who covers them with her hands. The aces are held in the performers hands, and one at a time the aces change into the kings. The performer now reasons that if he holds the king the spectator must be covering the aces. The spectator turns her cards face up expecting to see aces, but instead finds kings. The spectators now look back at the performer's hands, and find the aces! This is EASY to do. In fact, there is even a handling which requires NO sleight-of-hand whatsoever, and is perfect for a beginner! This is GREAT. BUY IT NOW!
Sharky -- EFFECT: Imagine...a card is selected from a red-backed Bicycle deck and signed by the spectator. The card is freely shown both front and back and lost in the deck. The magician then introduces his sidekick Sharky (a blue-backed Bicycle card with a sticker of a card shark on the back). Suddenly, the blue card changes to red and Sharky has vanished! While humming the theme from the movie Jaws, the magician starts searching through the deck for the missing blue card. When the blue-backed card is found with Sharky on the back it is turned over and seen to be the spectator's signed selection! But that's not all...the card is also shown to have a corner bitten out of it!

Shinkansen by Phil Goldstein -- Effect: Four red-backed cards are displayed; they're counted and held by a spectator.
Another set of blue-backed cards is shown, and a second spectator simply thinks of any one. The packets are held by the spectators, who stand far apart from each other.
With the utmost fairness, the mentally chosen card vanishes from the blue packet and appears in the red!

Sponge Balls -- I love Sponge Balls. In fact I produced a best selling video tape called All About Sponge Balls (click below to check it out!) that has all you need to know about this incredibly popular form of manipulation. Takes practice? Yes, but not as intensive as say cards or coins. In fact it is my belief that Sponge Ball manipulation is THE easiest form of entry level sleight-of-hand. Lolita System by Docc Hilford -- Docc Hilford has devised a simple yet highly effective system that can be applied to any borrowed deck of cards in minutes, making the free selection of any card or pair of cards instantly known! Here are just a few of the effects possible:
Two cards and a word are chosen by three spectators. You hypnotize a woman who reveals the names of the cards and the chosen word!
You write three different predictions, each with a spectator's initials on them. The spectators freely select cards and your predictions match the selections!
